Here is the card that I made for my Dad's Birthday this year
I am pretty happy with how this came out I had this idea of drawing mountains, as my Dad loves walking and rock climbling. I applied an ink wash first, and then worked in my 01 brown fineliner over the top. It's been interesting to see how my linework works with a wash underneath He really liked which I am very please about! He said he thought it was Tolkien-esque. It also reminds me slighlty of Japanese prints.
This is so beautiful as well. I love the colours and the style. It's very majestic and japanese-ish. I really love the details in the mountains. It's almost like they have faces on them ;o

I think you do nothing of consequence if you try and please some amorphous audience. I think you really have to do work that you like, and hope that people will come along for the ride. - Dave McKean

Thank you very much The darker sections came from a piece I made in a 'Sketch City' night in Manchester, where people get together and draw on big boards So I used a similar look with this one, and then later added the more rounded cloud shapes as well.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
